Emmanuel Lakkari is a Paris-based Cinematographer.
His images begin in paint. Before cinema, there was Rembrandt, Vermeer, Caravaggio - and the question that painting kept asking: not what the light falls on, but what it means. That question never left. It is still the first one on set.
Depuis quinze ans, il explore cette question à travers le cinéma, le luxe et le cinéma institutionnel. Des contrastes marqués, des ombres travaillées, des couleurs qui s'imposent naturellement. Des images qui semblent vivantes, et non artificielles. Chaque projet bénéficie de la même ambition visuelle.
Ses crédits narratifs incluent le long métrage Article 22 (2023) et le court-métrage primé 300 000 km/s - 30+ international festival selections, Best Cinematography twice in the USA. He is attached as DOP on a feature film currently in development.
Commercial work includes campaigns for Chanel, Dior, Cartier, Guerlain, L'Oréal, Tag Heuer and Porsche. Institutional and broadcast work includes films for UEFA Foundation, LVMH, Disney+ and TF1.
He has shot in France, the United Kingdom, the United States, Morocco, Madagascar, and across West Africa — Abidjan, Congo. Studio or remote, controlled or unpredictable. He works in French and English. Member of UCO - United Cinematographers.
